Philips Global Supplier Rating System (GSRS)
Introduction
　GSRS system is firstly developed in 1999, used in Philips lighting. With the great success of GSRS system, now the usage has been dramatically expanded to support almost all of Philips divisions and suppliers, from lighting to medical,CE, DAP, PGP, etc, worldwide. Also, the system has been optimized and updated from version 1.0 to version 3.0.Moreover, Wonders has heavily invested in its R&D and application developments. We produce expandable applications on open or cross platform to protect the investment of our clients and enhance their competence.
Challenge
　- GSRS is a BS system, firstly developed using VB. With the system growth, VB code is not capable of dealing with tremendous data processing flexibly, accurately and what's more important is that it restricts the system growth.
　- Since GSRS is firstly designed and developed to cope with the operation in lighting division, there are more and more unexpected but predicted “Mismatch” rising while applying in others divisions.
　- While each division has its own system, there are problems of management and interaction among different systems.
Solution
　- System Backend Redesign for each division
　- Change VB code into Java
　- Developed a cross production division system
　- System upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1, and currently to 3.0
　- Development of a System Service Pack

　- GSRS will be applied to all Philips divisions.
